Kitsap Energy Upgrade
The Kitsap Building Association (KBA) is showing the way to make buildings less expensive to operate with energy-efficient upgrades to their headquarters. The building showcases six key strategies that are expected to achieve a significant reduction in energy use.
The Kitsap Energy Upgrade is a project of the Kitsap Building Association and Kitsap County. This project received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG) as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The EECBG program is helping to create green jobs, reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and implement local energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
